The car had 3.73 rear gears with a stock auto. The motor was swapped for a 6.0l with #317 heads. Stock internals. The front end was changed out to be off a 1997 Z28. The front impact bar and bumper support were removed, the washer fluid pump and bottle taken out, and the SS spoiler changed to a Z28 spoiler. The theory was to lose as much weight as possible. The SS spoiler has more material than the Z so is heavier. The AC compressor, dryer, lines, condensor, and brackets were all removed as well. I never got time to remove the core from the firewall though. The cars interior had leather door panels, carpet without padding, dash, center console, and front/rear cloth seats. The only suspension mod it had was Hypercoil Blue coil springs to lower it 1.75". All bolts, nuts, cables, brackets, covers, etc.. were removed for weight loss. The car weighed an estimated 3200lbs. Stock '02 camshaft. Stock '02 Trans Am exhaust. This car would outrun a full weight heads/cam/headers LS1 f-body with ease.
Before it became the way stated above it was even more drastic. It had a 232/234 595/598 112+2lsa cam, Grotts 1 7/8 long tube headers, with a bullet 12" muffler dumped right off each, no back seats, and no carpet. It was LS1 edited as well. The estimated power output was around 460 rear wheel.
